To connect two PCs for offline file transfer, you can use several methods depending on the equipment and software you have. Here are some common ways:

1. Ethernet Cable (Direct Connection)

    •    What you need: A crossover Ethernet cable or a regular Ethernet cable (if you’re using a router or switch).
    •    Steps:
    1.    Connect the two PCs using the Ethernet cable.
    2.    Configure both PCs’ IP addresses:
    •    Go to Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings.
    •    Right-click the Ethernet connection > Properties > Double-click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).
    •    Set one PC’s IP address to 192.168.1.1 and the other to 192.168.1.2.
    •    Set the subnet mask to 255.255.255.0 on both PCs.
    3.    Share folders:
    •    Right-click on the folder you want to share, click Properties > Sharing > Advanced Sharing > Share this folder.
    4.    Access shared files:
    •    On the second PC, open File Explorer and type \\192.168.1.1 in the address bar to access the shared files.

2. USB Transfer Cable

    •    What you need: A USB-to-USB data transfer cable.
    •    Steps:
    1.    Connect the two PCs using the USB transfer cable.
    2.    Install the software that comes with the cable, or use Windows Easy Transfer (for older Windows versions).
    3.    Follow the on-screen instructions to transfer files between the two PCs.

3. External Storage (USB Drive or External Hard Drive)

    •    What you need: A USB flash drive or external hard drive.
    •    Steps:
    1.    Plug the USB drive into the first PC and copy the files onto it.
    2.    Eject the USB drive and plug it into the second PC.
    3.    Copy the files from the USB drive to the second PC.

4. Wi-Fi Direct (If Supported by Both PCs)

    •    What you need: Both PCs need to support Wi-Fi Direct.
    •    Steps:
    1.    On both PCs, search for Nearby Sharing or Wi-Fi Direct settings.
    2.    Enable sharing and make sure the two PCs are within Wi-Fi range of each other.
    3.    Transfer files by selecting the file and choosing the PC to send it to.

5. Bluetooth

    •    What you need: Both PCs must have Bluetooth.
    •    Steps:
    1.    Pair the two PCs via Bluetooth:
    •    On both PCs, go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices and add the other PC.
    2.    After pairing, right-click on the file you want to send, choose Send via Bluetooth, and select the paired PC.
    3.    Accept the file on the receiving PC to complete the transfer.

These methods allow you to transfer files between two PCs without needing an internet connection.
