Why losing weight can be easy for some, other people might find it difficult to lose weight.

I remember when I struggled with losing weight. Those days, I took a lot of weight loss pills, but they seem not to be working.

However, I was able to hack my way through and lost the desired amount of weight.

As someone who has gone through the weight loss journey myself, if I was to give anyone an advice on losing weight, here are the steps I would recommend.

Reduce Food Portion: I never knew that my food portion was on the high side until someone pointed it out to me. I then found out that I gained more weight because I ate more food portion than the average person. So, what did I do to lose weight? I simply reduced my food portion and it seemed to work.

Fasting: Currently, fasting is my bread and butter. I fast a lot these days not just to lose weight but to stay healthy. However, fasting was instrumental in helping me lose weight very fast. At one point, I was eating one balanced meal a day. The rest of the day, I drank water or lime juice. This helped me lose almost 30kg in just one month.

Eat low-fat foods: Really, it's common sense to eat low-fat foods if you want to reduce fat right? Well, many people do the opposite and wonder why their belly fat can't seem to go down. Now you know. If you want to lose weight, eat low-fat foods such as fish, beans, oats, sweet potatoes, egg white, etc.

Increase Vegetable portions: One of the biggest secrets I used to lose weight was to increase my vegetable portions. At the beginning, I couldn't outrightly reduce my food portion, so I substituted a large portion of my plate with vegetables. This worked like magic and I lost a lot of weight under a very short period. Funny enough, I lost weight so much that people thought I went under the knife.

Start weight loss exercises: If you want to keep your diet as is, but still lose some weight, then engaging in weight loss exercises would help you. Some of them include walking, running, swimming, cycling, hiking, jogging, shadowboxing, etc.
