It is the name given to all those born in the late 1990s and early 2000s-that is to say, for the first time in history, it grew up in a wholly digital world. Characteristics of Generation Z Digital Natives: The information and technological revolution have engulfed them since their tender age. Smartphones, tablets, computers-they are no strangers to these devices. Therein, they have participated since childhood. Diversity and Inclusion: More diverse on many counts than previous generations, Generation Z puts a great deal of emphasis on inclusivity and equality. Entrepreneurial Drive: Most are entrepreneurial and motivated to seek opportunities rather than wait for a chance. Social Awareness: Most are socially aware and concerned with causes like climate change, social justice, and awareness about mental health. Shorter Attention Spans: A generation that grows up with rapid media and technology generally has a short attention span. Pragmatic: More practical and goal-directed than their predecessors. Flexible: Open to change and easy-going. Global Citizenship: They are likelier to identify with being global citizens and put more into practice the feeling of being interconnected. Values and Beliefs The generation tends to be more socially conscious and progressive than the traditional generations. They tend to: Support the cause for social justice: Consider issues like racial equity, LGBTQ+ rights, and climate change. Attach high value to authenticity: Gen Zers believe in authentic experiences and relationships. Live meaningfully: They strive for meaning and purpose in life, mainly because they pursue careers that do not conflict with their values. Behavior and trends Social media: Having grown online, GEN Z uses social media to communicate, entertain, and express themselves. Content Consumption: They are more into consuming content across varied platforms; short-form videos and visually appealing content are mainly their choice. Social and Emotional Learning: Mental health is at the pinnacle of grave issues and one which this generation truly cares about, and for this, they do not hold themselves back from raising a voice against mental health issues. Ethical Consumerism: They will be considered consumption by picking brands that act harmoniously with their values and contribute to the most minor environmental damage.
