Burna Boy Talks For The First Time On Diddy Rumours: "I Am the Fire Itself!

 

Now, Nigerian music star Burna Boy has reacted to the increased rumors about him and American music head Diddy. Social media has blown up with wild speculations over the personal life of Diddy, some of them even dragging Burna Boy into the mix. The so-called African Giant used the freedom that came with his personality to release a fiery, and rather heartfelt, statement.

"I have been with Diddy a couple of times but I didn't see anything suspicious. I personally think Diddy is a good man, but I don't know about other people's experiences," an apparently frustrated Burna Boy said of the rumbling allegations online. "The fact that I took a picture with Diddy doesn't mean anything-snapping a picture with OGs when you meet them is like tradition."

The closeness of Burna Boy to Diddy, especially in the making of his Grammy-winning album Twice as Tall, was strictly professional and based on mutual respect. However, when the rumors of Diddy's sexuality started making some serious rounds, many online trolls tried linking Burna Boy to the controversy.

"Me work hard for my first Grammy and y'all shouldn't use controversies that you know nothing about to water down my achievements," Burna Boy tried to underline, impressing that he wouldn't stand efforts to belittle his success. "If Diddy actually slept with other men, then it wasn't with me. All the time that I've been around him, I didn't notice any of those things people say about him now."

This was followed by a powerful emotional outburst from Burna Boy, who appeared to have had enough of all the negativity thrown his way, most especially by those very fans and people that were his own. "I know my own people never appreciate me, but they need to be careful with me. No fire burns me, I am the fire itself."

Burna Boy, even as angry as he was, balanced his message to remind his fans that, yes, he still loved them guys but warned against stepping on his toes. "I still love you guys, and that's why I'm saying this from a place of love. But if you step on my toes, I'll kick you."

These comments have elicited wild reactions online, with some fans supporting Burna Boy, while others have gone to town with the rumors. One thing is sure, though: Burna Boy isn't here for all that drama, and he isn't afraid to fight his corner or hard-earned success.
