Go ahead and make sure that this is indeed so by following the steps below:
1. Launch Norton Secure VPN: Open the Norton Secure VPN application on your device.

2. Switch Off VPN: If you would want your actual location to be utilized, then you would need to turn the VPN connection off. It will cease routing your traffic through a remote server and allow your device to take over using your real IP address and location.
There must be a toggle or disconnect button in the application for disconnection from the VPN.

3.    Auto-connectivity off: If it is set to connect every time one turns on their device or connects to any network, you might want to turn that setting off.
o    Open the Settings of the Norton Secure VPN application.
o    Toggle off the switch for the Auto-Connect setting.

4.    Verify Location: When you turn off Norton VPN, your device should use your physical location via your IP address or GPS.
At that point, applications and websites should detect your physical location and not the virtual one used by the VPN.

5. Clear Cache: Some applications or websites may cache the location data from when you were online through a VPN. You might want to clear your browser cache or restart apps reliant on location data to make sure they detect your real location.
For browsers, this includes clearing browsing data, such as cookies and cached images, from the browser settings.
For mobile apps, either restart the app or clear app cache from the app settings menu in your device.

6.    Show Your Location: Once the VPN is off, and the cache cleared, you should now be in a position to validate that your real location is utilized. Utilize the following type of websites: WhatIsMyIP.com will allow you to see your real IP and location are accessible.

7.    Norton VPN Re-enabled: Once you are done using your real location, you can always reconnect back to Norton VPN through enabling it again via the app.
This will guide you in temporarily using your real location and ensure you can revert to the VPN at will.

8. Reconnect to Norton VPN
When you would like to return to using a safer internet connection, you only need to open the application for Norton Secure VPN again and flip the switch onto the VPN. This will scramble your traffic and mask your IP address by giving you a virtual location.
Open the application.
o    Select the location you want from the list of countries or regions if you want to appear in a certain location.
o    Enable the VPN.

9.Enable Split Tunneling (optional):
Some VPNs, such as Norton, offer something called a split tunnel. It permits the ability to tunnel some of your traffic using the VPN while other applications or websites on your real location/IP.
o    Look for Split Tunneling in the Settings of Norton Secure VPN.
o    Now, configure the applications or websites that you would like to be excluded from the VPN-so they would end up using your real location.

10. Using the VPN on a Regular Basis
Remember, turning the VPN back on will take you to a virtual location of your choice and your internet traffic route through that server. It is recommended for you to use the VPN while on unsecured networks-public Wi-Fi-if you would want to stay private online.
You can then toggle between your actual location and the secure, anonymous browsing from Norton VPN.
